    Scheduling Appointments

Please, call our office at (361) 574-1899 to make an appoinment. On the initial visit, Dr. Bouras will spend about an hour, allowing adequate time to evaluate you and make appropriate treatment recommendations. Follow up visits for medication management typically last 20-30 minutes.

We make every effort to make sure that you will be seen on your scheduled appointment time slot. Due to the sensitive and unique circumstances that our patients have, unforeseen crises can lead to longer appointment sessions at times. In those situations, we ask for your patience and understanding. Please, rest assured that we will make time for you when needed.

You can help us keep any waiting times to a minimum by coming to our office 15-20 minutes prior to your first appointment (to complete necessary paperwork) and arriving on time to all your other scheduled appointments. If you arrive more than twenty minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. If you arrive late and can still be seen, you may have to wait, so as not to inconvenience other patients. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call to reschedule as soon as possible, so that other patients who need to be seen can take advantage of that time slot.

Upon arriving to our office, please inform the receptionist of any changes in your address, telephone number, or insurance company information.

We look forward to serving you.

    Fees and Insurance Policies

We are not on the network of any health insurance plan, so that we can provide the best possible care, without the limitations and restrictions of insurance. If you wish, as a courtesy, we will submit a claim on your behalf with your insurance, so that you can get reimbursed directly. Any reimbursement is between you and your insurance depending on several factors, including the policy, the co-pay, and the deductible that you might have.

Payment is expected in full at the time services are rendered. We gladly accept cash, checks, visa and mastercard. Please, be aware that a $25 fee will be added for any returned check.

    Questions to Physician

If there is a life-threatening emergency, please, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Otherwise, all messages will be returned by the end of the working day or the next business day.

    Prescriptions and Refills

Dr. Bouras will prescribe enough medications until your next appointment. It is thus important to come to all your scheduled appointments, so as to avoid running out of medications. If you do miss an appointment, please call as soon as possible to reschedule. Any refill requests will be reviewed and processed only during regular office hours.
