Dr. Bouras completed Harvard TMS Intensive Course.
Dr. Bouras just returned from a 5-day Intensive Course in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in Boston.
The course was led by Dr. Alvaro Pascual-Leone, sometimes known as one of the "fathers of TMS," who conducted the first controlled clinical trial demonstrating the effectiveness of TMS for Depression.
The course was organized by the Berenson-Allen Center for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation (CNBS) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.
During the course, Dr. Bouras had the opportunity to learn and expand on basic TMS principles, standards of use, and clinical neurophysiological, cognitive neuropsychological, neurological, and psychiatric applications.
TMS is currently being studied in Alzheimer's Disease, Autism, Epilepsy, Parkinson's, Schizophrenia, Strokes, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Dr. Bouras is committed to continuing educating himself, his colleagues, and his patients on this breakthrough and exciting technology.
